I am currently the Web Design Project Manager for NC State University Libraries (NCSU). Over the past 6 months, I’ve worked on a user experience design team to redesign the libraries’ web portal. I’ve also been a lead information architect and developer on a migration to the Drupal CMS platform.
Prior to NCSU I worked as the Web Manager for Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries, a large academic library in Richmond, VA. I was responsible for managing a small, agile team who maintained internet and intranet sites.
Like so many before me I started a blog as an attempt to capture all the ideas, resources and thoughts of daily work life – I think of it as my de-normalized space (see database normalization), where the “the values have no relation to the keys, which have no relation to the tables, which have no relation to the schema.”
The contents of this blog are my own thoughts and opinions and do not reflect the opinions of NC State University Libraries.
